Justice
A high-profile domestic abuse trial just ended. The gavel bangs, the courtroom clears out, but the nightmare is far from over. Told through several different viewpoints, this book blurs the line between the law and actual justice. The system worked exactly like it was supposed to, but it left a dangerous question in its wake: what happens when the courts fail, and someone decides to settle the score themselves?
- Herman - Crown prosecutor
- Jeremy - Victim
- Luke - Defense barrister

- The jury deliberates and return a majority verdict of not guilty.
- Judge Safraz Pires is shocked by the jury’s not-guilty verdict on all charges.
- Jeremy is left feeling hopeless and unsafe after the verdict.
- The killer follows Madeline home from court and stabs her to death.
- Judge Safraz Pires is the killer.
Danielle Fear crafts a fast-paced and highly engaging whodunit in Justice, condensing a high-stakes mystery into a very small window of time. The structure is incredibly effective: short, clear, and powerful chapters told from alternating perspectives. Every single character had a compelling motive to kill, making it impossible to stop reading until the final reveal. I loved every page of this book, I couldn’t read it fast enough!
