Unmarried
My wedding to Dr. Mitch Ellis—with its lace dress and extravagant train—was supposed to be a happily ever after. I see now it was a grave mistake.
Mitch wants me to be his quiet, perfect little wife, just like the last one. But he has no idea who he’s dealing with.
He thinks I haven’t noticed her jewelry, still hidden in our room. He thinks I haven’t seen the suspicious details on her death certificate. He believes I’m happily under his thumb, watched by his staff as I sunbathe by the pool.
Mitch should pay for what he did to the woman before me. This time, I won't let him get away with it.

I would call this book a pretty decent read overall. On the plus side, the author did a nice job catching me up on what events went on in the first book of the series. I jumped into this one without reading the first, and I never felt lost or confused about the characters' backstories. The writing style itself was super easy to get into.
The main thing that bugged me was how repetitive it could be. I get it, Aimee doesn't trust Hannah, but I felt like the point was repeated way too many times. Because of that, a lot of the book felt like we were just waiting around for the big finale instead of really moving the story forward with new stuff.
The ending had a nice twist that was surprising, but not a total shock. All in all, I'd say it's a good book, especially if you like mysteries that take their time and you want a series where you don't have to read the first book to know what's going on.
