The Happy Family
I fixate on the photograph—a snapshot of a sun-drenched afternoon in the park. We look radiant, a picture-perfect family of four. But a mere month after that shutter clicked, my entire world was decimated.
Now, I watch from the shadows as they stroll through those same woods: my handsome husband, my darling daughter, and my sweet son. They aren't alone. She is there, seamlessly stepping into my life and playing house with the people I love. She stole them, piece by piece.
She believes I’m gone for good.
She’s wrong.
I’m coming for my family—and I’m coming for her.

- Sadie goes on a date with Landon.
Daniel Hurst absolutely stuck the landing with this one! The Happy Family started off by seamlessly catching me up on the previous drama without that typical "info-dump" feel.
By jumping between the perspectives of Sadie, Luna, Reid, and Gemma, the momentum stayed high and the short chapters made it nearly impossible to put down. I loved seeing the new extremes Luna went to in order to hold onto her "happy family," but Sadie was the standout—a fierce, relentless force. Her complete turnaround from the broken person she was in ‘I Stole Your Family’ was so fun to see. After everything these characters had been through during the series, the ending felt exactly right.
- Gemma - Dead - Killed by Luna
- Luna - Dead - Hit by a police car
- Reid - Alive - Exhausted but happy father of three children
- Sadie - Alive - Happy to have her family back
- Murder
