Slow Burner by Laura Lippman is a 38-page short story that earns a solid four stars. It is an interesting read with a good storyline, though it carries a pretty sad vibe since it revolves around a husband cheating on his wife. It has a steady, medium pace, and despite the short length, it still manages to deliver decent character development. The best part is the ending, which features a big, surprising twist. This book is great for anyone who wants a quick thriller with a satisfying ending.
