Merry Little Vengeance
'Tis the season for vengeance. My usual holiday routine involves cleaning up crime scenes, not roasting chestnuts, but a trip home changes everything. As a hitwoman facing a complicated family and resurfacing secrets, I’m finding that some skeletons are loud enough to wake the dead—and they want justice. Merry Little Vengeance is a sharp, twisted thriller for anyone who prefers a heroine with grit over a Hallmark ending.

- Upon arrival, Marin notices that Gareth’s wife, Jenny, is using makeup to conceal bruises.
- Jenny, very drunk, jumps into the pool fully clothed.

- Marin goes into the house to check on Jenny and finds her crying in the bathroom.
- Marin chops the back of Jenny’s neck with her hand and she slumps to the floor.
