Bound By Secrets
For Yolanda, promises were a shield. For Chris, secrets were an arsenal. But for Faith, the truth was a death sentence. Bound by a single, unbreakable vow, their fates collide as the boundary between allegiance and treason fades. Deep in the heart of Gaborone, every deception and hidden truth tightens the noose. When the tension peaks, someone will have to cut the cord—no matter the devastating price.

Bound by Secrets by Keotshepile Ncube is a quick read with lots of tension. The writing is decent, and as I was reading, I kept thinking that this sounds like a newer author, but they definitely have potential. The storyline is interesting and sets up an intriguing premise right out of the gate.
That being said, the execution struggled a bit for me. There is almost no character development, which is noticeable right from the start even for such a short book, and as the story progressed into the second half, it got very repetitive. Despite those character and pacing issues, it managed to pull off a good ending. Overall, a quick read with some solid ideas from a promising author.

- Death
